TrackReplies is built to monitor selected public X post URLs and send email alerts about new replies. This policy covers the marketing site, beta signup, contact form, and the early TrackReplies service.
What we collect
We collect the information needed to run the service and reply to you:
- Your email address when you join the beta list, confirm your subscription, submit a contact form, or use the service.
- Your name, enquiry type, and message if you send a contact request.
- Public X post URLs you ask TrackReplies to monitor.
- Public reply metadata found under those selected posts, such as reply text, author handle, reply URL, timestamp, and duplicate-detection state.
- Basic product and website usage data, including page views, CTA clicks, newsletter form events, contact form events, errors, device/browser details, referrer, and campaign parameters.
Newsletter and beta emails
Newsletter and beta-list signups are handled by Buttondown. If you join the list, Buttondown receives your email address and manages confirmation emails, unsubscribe links, and email delivery. You can unsubscribe using the link in any email.
Analytics
We use PostHog to understand whether the site and beta funnel are working. PostHog records events such as page views, CTA clicks, newsletter signup steps, contact form submissions, and browser errors. We tag TrackReplies events with product: trackreplies so they can be separated from other products in the same analytics account.
If you submit a newsletter or contact form, the site may identify that analytics session using the email address you entered. Do not put private information into analytics-triggering fields unless you are happy for it to be associated with your enquiry or beta signup.
Contact forms and spam protection
The contact form is routed through the shared AP Resourcing form processor and protected by Cloudflare Turnstile. That means Cloudflare may process technical request data to check whether the submission looks automated. We use contact-form data to reply to the enquiry and deal with abuse, not to sell lists.
How we use the data
We use this data to provide reply alerts, prevent duplicate alerts, improve reliability, respond to support and privacy requests, send beta or product updates you asked for, understand which parts of the site convert, and keep spam out of the forms.
What we do not do
We do not sell your personal data. We do not ask for your X password. The beta is scoped to selected public posts, not private account monitoring or scraping private messages.
Service providers
We use a small number of providers to run the site and service, including Cloudflare for hosting, DNS, security, and Turnstile; Buttondown for newsletter subscriptions and beta-list email; PostHog for analytics and error visibility; and the shared AP Resourcing form processor for contact-form routing.
Retention
We keep data for as long as it is useful for the beta, support, compliance, abuse prevention, or operating the service. If the product direction changes, old monitored-post data that is no longer needed should be deleted rather than kept around for decoration.
Your choices
You can unsubscribe from Buttondown emails at any time. You can also ask us to delete your beta-list, contact, or service data, subject to any records we need to keep for security, legal, or billing reasons.
